JORDYN JACKSON

Jordyn Jackson is a singer/songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida. I remember the first time I met Jordyn, it was at Mellow Mushroom in Jax Beach, she seemed unapproachable, her beauty so intimidating, you’re almost left speechless. She sat at the table next to mine with a friend I had met through another local musician and was then introduced to her. I didn’t know how else to act so I don’t remember saying much to her that night.

Then Jordyn performed at the Jazz Festival in downtown Jacksonville. I arrived at the end of her set, enough to catch just a couple of songs and thought, “yeah, that sounded nice…” It wasn’t until I saw her perform at The Florida Theater for an event called “Uncommon Music for a Common  Cause” that I really got to experience listening to her sing. It was breathtaking. The intimate setting of the theater almost made me feel like there was no one else around…just me and this amazing voice floating through the air.

I was most impressed with her original song “Time Alone” which I later begged to get a copy of so that I could listen to it whenever I wanted. Jordyn happily filled my request once she had it recorded and edited, along with a copy of her album “September In The Garden”.
