APRIL 20, A DAY OF H.O.P.E.

On April 20th, 2010…a specified day for acts of “H.O.P.E.” was founded in our community by a dear friend of mine. It was her birthday, and instead of asking for gifts, she asked that everyone do a random act of kindness for someone else, and to document their deeds on the wall of her facebook page. The response was much greater than she had anticipated, resulting in a very inspirational not for profit organization that she is now spreading the word about it to more than just her family and close friends.

This year, on April 20th, 2011…we are announcing the second annual Acts of H.O.P.E. Day… all that she asks, is that we do something kind, to someone random…whether it be buying a cup of coffee for the person behind you in line at Starbucks or offering to give a co-worker a ride home from work… one random act can go a long way. Pay it forward! You never know how much a kind act can affect a person’s whole point of view.

It always feels good after doing something nice for someone, especially when they weren’t expecting it. Try it out! April 20th!!! And send in your letters of your H.O.P.E. experiences and let us know how this affected you!

RED CROSS FOR JAPAN!

JAPAN NEEDS OUR HELP!!!

This Friday, starting at 3pm, we are having a “POTLUCK BUFFET” which will cost (a minimum donation of) $5 to support The American Red Cross in efforts to help with the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief! We understand not everyone has the needs to donate as much as we ask, and donations can be anonymous, so if that is too much for you to spare, leave whatever you can in your invite envelope.

It’s not just about money, it’s just about helping others. You don’t ever know when you might need that help. Our H.O.P.E. program plays a big part in our every day charity. Keep that HOPE alive in your hearts!

All proceeds from this event are going to be donated directly to the Red Cross. You can text “RedCross” to 90999 to make your own donation directly from your cell phone or visit www.redcross.org for more information or to make a donation online.

Email monz@monzsense.com for more info!
