THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN DRINKING WATER

Yesterday was our walk for wells in Jacksonville Beach, Florida for the TakeTheWalk campaign… Due to the very cold and cloudy weather, the turnout was not as big as I had hoped and I feel a lot of people might have forgotten or got caught up with other things that morning. But still, we made a big difference as a group, showing our compassion for those we don’t even know. Here’s a video I would like to share that I found for mycharitywater.org, another organization with the same goal as what we did yesterday, to provide cleaning drinking water in developing countries.

Also, a monzsense.com favorite, Jordyn Jackson is giving up her birthday this year for a good cause. She is asking for everyone she knows, and everyone they know, to help her fund an entire water project. 100% of your donations goes directly to the water project. Please check out www.mycharitywater.org/jordynjackson2 for more info!

Take The Walk : Walk For Wells

We will be coming together as a community to help raise money to drill a clean water well in Africa!
This walk is being organized to bring awareness to those in our communities about the desperate need to help others who are less fortunate than us and also to help raise funds to provide them with clean drinking water. It is simple and only takes a little bit of your time to come together as a group for a great cause. Water is often neglected and wasted, while there are others suffering from diseases because they are drinking contaminated water. It is more important than food for survival.
Please help us to raise money to get a clean water well drilled in Africa and help those that really need it and haven’t got the means to get it. You may bring additional donations but all we ask is that you walk with us. Every walker that registers for this event is counted as one more dollar towards the cause whether or not you contribute monetary donations. To participate in the walk is completely FREE!!! Just bring your feet!!!
=== OPEN TO ALL AGES!!! BRING YOUR KIDS, BRING YOUR PARENTS, BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!===
The walk is only a mile long, and walkers are encouraged to walk barefoot (but not necessary) from Fletcher High School to Mellow Mushroom in Jax Beach. We hope to see everyone by 11:30 am (come early to register by filling out the sign up sheet and forms) and start walking soon after everything has been filled out.
